I have spent so many years fretting over this blog makeover and it’s finally happening.
The new face of Shalavee.com is here, still under a little construction. I owe a lot to the ones who facilitated the actual change. First to Danielle Darling who envisioned the new site and logo and then to Hayley Geller who took the wheel and recreated it.
What does this blog update mean to me? Besides having a site that is technically updated, it means that I get to stand proud for the next steps that I take here. Not only can I invite people over and not worry about whether the doorbell will ring or the couch will break if someone sits on it, I can get into the groove of writing with joy again. Writing about what interests me, what I’ve created, and telling people to come take a look!
You can still look forward to twice weekly blog posts on Tuesday and Friday. And coming soon, a regular Newsletter ! I will be offering called Wisdom Lesson Letters which will allow people to subscribe to actual art mail from me. And I’ll be looking to create a community around the Creativity and Self-Work through my Soul Selfie and Our Creative Selves challenges.
Perhaps I’ll give away something to garner more look-sees. Perhaps I’ll host another art challenge come soon. If you know me, there’s going to be something happening soon enough. I’m rather prolific and spastic.
