As I arranged the last present under the tree which has already become frozen into a crunchy statue…

And I styled the last vase on the mantle so I could take my official Christmas decorations pictures 2 days before C-Day,

I felt good about all of it.

I was able to go to the grocery store and not have to calculate my spending as I went.

I have simplified my decorating style and I find the objects in my colors make me happy. Me happy.

The kids will be crazed with gift and sugar overdose come tomorrow and that is as it should be.

So Merry Christmas to all and to all a good time.

  1. You sure know how to decorate. Natural, understated, incandescent and red tones. Beautiful pictures.

    I’m already sugar-high… 🙁

    Have a Merry Christmas!

    1. Can I just tell you how amazed I am and blown away that you are here complimenting me on my decorating. Thank you because that is wonderful and generous and appreciated. Merry Christmas!!!

  2. Beautiful room Shalagh! The warm glow from the milk glass, the sparkle, the red accents, and the gorgeous gift wrapping. I know it’s all in the near-past now, but just wanted to say how lovely it was to have a virtual visit in your Christmas salon.

    1. Oh thank you so very much Dawn. I hung out in my Christmas salon tonight with the fire lit and Fiona rolling around. I let her have chocolate even. We angle the couch to look at the tree and the fireplace and it feels so cozy in there, I kinda hate when I have to change it back. I was hoping you could see the milk glass cups but I may have to take a few more pictures to illustrate the effect.
Thanks and Love to You for the New Year,
