Happily, a Homebody: Being My Best Self Often Finds Me Home Alone

It’s not like I don’t like to go anywhere; I just know my limitations. I know that even one doctor’s visit in a week can bring my world to a somersaulting halt. Last week, I dared to attempt several doctor’s appointments to get them over with. This week, I’m deep inside my house and home, controlling all the things that make me happy.

As an ubercreative, I create therefore I am. My brain delights in the beauty of everything and this overwhelming need to capture it in my world somehow, I want to be changed by the world and to change it right back. And I can best do that from inside my own world, the one I’ve built physically, emotionally, creatively, and biologically, both in real life and online.

The best way to get to know me is to be in the room with me! Second best thing is to see the rooms I’m living in. Here is a small gallery of pictures from my day inside my home and explanations of what you are seeing.

Welcome to My Home Today!

Snapshots of my lunch in the making (BLT). Of the dishes that someone was hoping the dish fairy would take care of. My Wonder Woman magnet that announces the dishes are clean and my daughter dreads seeing.

And two of our creative spaces. My craftroom where I create and write with my inspirational rock and mug. Out in the garage turned music studio, a drum set waiting for some girls to pound on it. In fact, I have an idea to someday organize a drum camp for girls.

From my office, the cup that inspired a divorce and my trust rock. I am happy you joined me for this share. If the thing you’re doing makes you happy, keep doing it. I’m going to keep showing up and showing and telling what it’s like to be authentically me.

One last parting shot of my pretty Mother’s Day mantle scape before the flowers began to die. These are beautiful things that keep me happy at home. These beautifying purposes I’m doing in between writing what’s in my heart.

I have a new bright purple couch cover on my living room coach, bought with the intention to sit on it and tape myself talking about a subject of interest for me which will also be of interest to my readers too.

If only the air conditioning were fixed. Thank goodness the weather is slightly rainy right now! If you have any suggestions of topics you’d like me to go on about, leave me a comment or a DM!
