  • My name is Shalagh Hogan, pronounced Shay-La. I'm the mother of a ten and an eighteen-year-old, and this twelve-year-old blog. I turn 57 this year. My days are spent practicing Creative Soul Living. My hope and joy as a writer, an artist, and an uber-creative, is that by sharing my journey of self-discovery, others will gain inspiration and permission for their own journeys. Day 56 of #100daysoflettinggoofpastshite It's beg Day 56 of #100daysoflettinggoofpastshite It's beginning to look a lot like ... Christmas clutter clear out. The collection of kid made ornaments came down from the attic for Eamon to go through. From this pretty sizable collection, he chose one thing he'd made. Of course, he didn't remember making most of them. And so, all of this evidence from his childhood l have been saving will float away in the next box of giveaways. It does not mean that he had less of a good childhood if they leave. Those memories are still lodged in our hearts and our mental photo albums. Presently eating the leftovers that were left me. Presently eating the leftovers that were left me. Thanks to my forward thinking to buy some carry out containers, the Grandmothers were sent home with generous and warm proof that they had had a good Thanksgiving! Looking at this picture of me and my lovely babies on the couch this morning, l am more grateful than I've ever known how to be. As I maintained a relaxed spirit all through the holiday (wanting the opposite feelings of how I felt last year at this time), the tone I set let everyone else relax too. 😌 My kitchen is once again clean and I'm readying myself to build and bake lasagna. After which i want to drink tea and maybe write some more. My 100 day project progress of cleaning and clearing gave me a few Creative Christmas project ideas. Then she looks back at me and says,"When I was little, l used to think the lines around your mouth looked like a house." I just put some makeup on and darned if she isn't right. I am Home to them. I make this a home and make sure they're comfortable and safe and allowed to be themselves here.
