I was perusing Pinterest one day and saw the wine rack made from an old rake. I said cool. I don’t think I repinned it but plenty of people did. I have been trying to think up a cool wine rack concept for some time and that seemed like fun. Except, I didn’t have an old rake.

Until that fateful day we decided to do yard work.  Mark hit something turning over the garden. And I dared to rake what should not be raked. This was the outcome.

Needless to say, I purchased new equipment. But  I also nuked an old metal rake that I think had some sort of hose clamp on it. I had two anyway.

I had a shadow box that I’d been doing different vignettes in. I made it out of an old frame and a drawer.  I drilled a hole in the top. Jammed the rake neck in there and I had me a wine rack.

I’ve hung it in the kitchen but don’t like the placement too much. But it needs to be in the kitchen. Husband said he thinks the back should be another color. And little boy keeps instructing me to move “that glass needs to go to the left.”

Am always happy until I want to change it.

You are welcome to stop by and bring some wine. I have red wine glasses that need attention too.

====Update===

The wineglass rack finally got moved to over top of the bar that I finally moved to where I wanted it. And so now I am much happier with where it is and its usage. Still could always use some wine for the glasses though. Stop by anytime with red or white. We’re not picky.
