Me In A Nutshell
Shalagh Hogan (‘Shay-la’) grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. I lived and loved my city and then I bought a house I could afford and moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland across the Chesapeake Bay.
We bought a house and in 2001, I married Mark Peach, a TV lighting designer, in our backyard overlooking our overgrown waterfront property on the Choptank River. We had a little boy, are about to have a second child 11years later, and will probably always own this ancient house in a state of perpetual redecoration.
I began a blog because I needed to write and could no longer stay silent. I write about whatever I’m in the mood to write about while probably doing laundry or cooking meals and getting on my kid’s nerves. Subjects for the articles and posts could include, but are not limited to, mothering a boy, squirrels, or laughing with a good friend. I am ready and willing to publish elsewhere if people would say yes.
I am thankful for the readers I have and will attempt to keep them coming back by writing honest well written pieces in my voice and from my heart.
